Welcome to the LSU Alexandria Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. We are committed to assuring quality service to students. LSU Alexandria understands that money matters in students' achievement of their educational goals. Higher education expenses represent one of the largest investments a family will make, and LSU Alexandria is committed to doing everything possible to make it feasible for all admitted students to attend.
If you haven't yet, fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) now! LSU Alexandria’s School Code is 002011.
Current students complete your Stafford Loan MPN now if you've been instructed to do so.
Parents of dependent students, apply for a PLUS loan now!
Return of Ineligible Borrower Loan Funds
If a school delivers loan proceeds to or on behalf of a student who does not attend classes during any payment period, ceases to be enrolled at least half time, or is expelled prior to the start of the payment period, the borrower is ineligible for the funds. The school must promptly repay those funds to the lender. The student will then be billed for the returned loan amount. [682.604(d)(3)]
Important Financial Aid Information
NOTICE to Student’s applying for Federal Stafford Loans:
Financial aid recipients please be advised that for the 2009 - 2010 school year all students will be required to "ACCEPT" any and all financial aid assistance before funds can be disbursed for any grants, loans, and scholarships. Award notifications will primarily be emailed to the student’s LSUA email address. Students should carefully review the notice and follow any instructions regarding how to accept, decline, or reduce awards.
