Scholarships and Awards
LSU Alexandria awards a variety of scholarships through institutional funds and donations to the LSUA Foundation. Students are considered for scholarships upon their application for admission to the university as a first-time freshman or transfer student. Continuing and re-entry students may be considered dependent on the availability of funds. In selecting recipients of scholarships consideration is given based on academic merit, leadership activities, and community involvement.
The LSU Alexandria’s Financial Aid and Scholarship Committee considers a student for the highest valued scholarship the student qualifies for and generally for only one institutional or foundation scholarship. Students that have submitted an application for admission will be considered for all scholarships based only on academic standards. Students wishing to be considered for any scholarship based on leadership and/or community involvement should submit an LSUA Scholarship Application. The priority deadline to submit applications is December 1st of the academic year prior to the student’s planned first semester of enrollment at LSU Alexandria.
