Required workshops for Student Loan Recipients
Starting with the Fall 2011 semester, all students planning to borrow a Federal Student Loan must complete a Financial Literacy Workshop before any awarded and accepted Federal Student Loan funds will be disbursed to the student. This is an annual requirement and students must complete this process for each Financial Aid Award Year. An Award Year starts with a Fall semester and concludes with the Summer semester.
Starting with the Spring 2013 semester, these workshops are only available online through the student's MyLSUA Account. There will no longer be an in person workshop students may attend.
Online Financial Literacy Workshops for Fall 2013, Spring 2014, & Summer 2014
- While LSUA strongly encourages students to review the Financial Literacy Workshop information, beginning with the Fall 2013 semester students seeking to borrow federal student loans will no longer be required to complete a Financial Literacy Workshop prior to student's loans posting as payment towards their account balance.
